About Me
Cassandra's dance journey began in her Yia Yia’s living room, learning the traditional dances of her Greek culture. From there she continued growing with Upstage Dance in San Jose, started competing with California Dance Company in Redding, and continued pursuing dance in college. She was a part of the Sonoma State Dance Team, Blue Baronz Crew, 150 Revival and received a Dance Teaching Certificate from the Santa Rosa JC.
Her professional dance journey began in coming to Los Angeles, where she completed a Dance Discipleship Program to later become a part of Word in Motion Dance Company. While she continued training and studying street dance, a new direction emerged for her as she engaged in therapeutic and inner-healing techniques with movement.
While she trained in multiple styles, such as Hip Hop and Salsa, Krump became the main advocate in her path of pairing healing with creative expression. As she found a deeper sense of awareness and confidence within herself and her movement, she began building workshops with elements of inner healing. Her workshops help artists release pain, fear and emotional blocks to connect more deeply with their body and their story.
Presently, Cassandra utilizes her story and her workshops to reach artists in the Los Angeles community. She is currently an alumni member of RUR Alliance and the partnering RUR Agency which allows her to teach world wide. Cassandra has also taught with Conga Kids, Dance Education Project, Conekt-LA Art Center, ZULU and more. With her degree in psychology and certification in Social Emotional Arts, she continues to offer classes, private sessions and workshops. Cassandra desires to empowers artists to find acceptance in their body and movement to commission a sense of freedom in all areas of their lives.

"Cassie is an amazing teacher she is very clear in her communication and takes extra effort to ensure all the participants and are on the same page. The whole session to me was a very introspective process and it helped realize the things I appreciate about myself, the barriers limiting me and expressing them as movement in a very therapeutic manner. The portion of the session where we work with a partner was truly amazing. It taught me how to be empathetic towards others and seeing a portion of myself in others was truly magical. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT."

"It was extremely special to share energy and this healing space with these men. We listened to, encouraged, and supported one another, all in the name of Krump and better mental health. If you're looking for movement therapy with intention and depth, you gotta reach out to Cassie. Y'all know I can always call it, so trust me when I say she is up next and our community needs this work! Not only was I able to exchange with artists I respect, but I also reconnected with the importance of telling MY *story* through my movement."

"Echo session happened right when I needed it. I was wondering if dance can be a therapeutic tool for a while since I have been experiencing stagnation because of the immense amount of self-doubt. Echo session was structured in a way that ease me into a nonjudgemental environment that I appreciate. I enjoy the small group of people who I got the chance to listen to and dance with each individually as well as sharing my thought just for the sake of sharing itself not for any expectation of problem-solving. Through different movements and mental prompts, I reminded the value of my dance not only to my emotional health but also to other folks who share the space with me. I felt lighter in my mind and much more empowered to see that I can actively play a huge part in what and how I feel about things by using a different tool that Echo session has offered me"

"The first thing I want to emphasize is how safe I felt, I didn't feel the pressure of having to do something extremely cool to impress or excite others. I had all the space to explore internally and not feel judged.
I had never applied dance to a healing process nor did I imagine that it could be done, I liked it and it helped a lot. The truth is that now I am extremely interested in continuing to learn about it.
I found calm in the exercises, overcame certain insecurities and worries about my dance, and allowed myself to move as I naturally do."

"This workshop was an incredible experience for me. I have never taken a dance class in my life, nor am I usually down to dance with strangers on Zoom — but I felt so safe and comfortable in this space. I didn’t realize how powerful movement could be and what a great tool it is for self-expression, releasing emotions, and feeling into the present moment and into your body. It was so enlightening to use dance to dive deep into the story Cassie read to us, and then to use that movement to apply messages from the story to my personal life. It was relaxing, meditative, powerful, and connecting. Cassie has such a big and wonderful heart and is an amazing facilitator who holds space for others SO well. I want to do it again!"

"I attended Cassie's workshop not really knowing what to expect: prior to that I was extremely unwell and not motivated to dance. Before I knew it, I was dancing and discovering a deeper connection between my thoughts and how I physically felt.
We were given a moment to share with our partners what we see in each others movement. The reflections were so on point that it almost feels like the other person has been with you your entire life.
What happens in these classes are truly a space to reestablish connectivity with yourself and with others."
